Day 1 : Marrakech » High Atlas Mountains » Oukaimeden
Our High Atlas Bird-watching tour will start from your accommodation in Marrakech or the local Marrakech airport. Our journey will start by driving into the high Atlas mountains where you will explore the beauty of the area and what nature gives us as a gift.
during the comfort ride, keep your eyes open and watch around we may spot a variety of species like Moussier’s Redstart, Sardinian Warbler, Moroccan Magpie, Little Owl, Southern, House Bunting, and Southern Grey Shrike.
during our navigation between the rocks stay focused we will spot the Levaillant’s Green Woodpecker and the blue rock thrush. and then we will continue our journey to the renowned Moroccan ski resort of Oukaimeden where we will spot Rock Sparrows, Crimson-winged Finch, Atlas Horned Larks, and Alpine Chough.
here our day will be finished so we will go to enjoy a dinner and spend the night at a local hotel.
Day 2 : High Atlas Mountains » Ouarzazate » Boumalne Dades
A good start to the second day after eating our breakfast we will leave the high Atlas Mountains and our destination will be Ouarzazate, so our trip will take 4 hours passing by the amazing Tizi-n’Tichka pass at 2260 meters.
during we are driving in Tizi-n’Tichka pass we may find raptors such as the Bonelli’s Eagle and Long-legged Buzzard, and then we will go into the Mansour Eddahbi barrage where we will spot some species like Maghreb Lark, Ruddy Shelduck, Marbled Duck, Cormorants, and Black-winged Stilts.
After spotting these species in the Mansour Eddahbi barrage we will continue to Sakoura, Valley of Roses, then we will go to have a dinner and spend a Night in Boumalne Dades at a local hotel.
Day 3 : Boumalne Dades » Tagdilt Track » Dades Gorge » Ouarzazate
Waking up in the early morning and smelling the clean air with the calm while you are eating your breakfast is a great feeling.
Our first destination is Tagdilt Track where we will have a great opportunity to spot a variety of species such as the Thekla Lark, Short-toed Lark, Cream-coloured Courser, Hoopoe Lark, Desert Wheatear, the nomadic Thick-billed Lark, the Trumpeter Finch, Temminck’s Lark, and Red-rumped Wheatear.
After visiting the Tagdilt Track we will move to explore the beauty of Dades Gorges and we may spot Tristram’s warbler and the breeding of Bonelli’s Eagle. then we will go back to spend the night in Ouarzazate with a dinner there at a local hotel.
Day 4 : Ouarzazate » Marrakech End Of Our Birding Tour
Day 4 is the end of our birding tour as we will transfer you from Ouarzazate To Marrakech passing by the high Atlas Mountains and enjoying the great landscapes as we will several stops to take souvenir photos to Maximize your bird-watching tour experience in Morocco.
We will arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon where you will have dinner and spend the night at a local hotel.
