Day 1 : Marrakech or Casabalanca » EL Jadida

On the first day, we will pick you up from your hotel in Marrakech or Casablanca due to your request to start our 7 Days North Morocco Birding Tour, and our destination is the northwest El Jadida.

We will spot in El Jadida some species that you will not find anywhere there including Spotless Starling, Calandra Lark, Common Bulbul, Cattle Egret, Crested Lark, and White Stork. After spotting these species you will go to have dinner at a hotel and you will spend the night there.

Day 2 : El jadida » Atlantic coast » Casablanca » Rabat

In the morning after breakfast, we will continue our Bird-watching tour but today is specified only to find The small Buttonquail because it’s located a little out of the city along the Atlantic Coast. 

we will continue to find some unique species including Finalso Zitting Cisticola, African Red Warbler, and Sardinian Warbler. then our day in the Atlantic Coast will be finished so we will drive into Casablanca and Rabat to have dinner and spend the night at a hotel.

Day 3 : Rabat » The Zaers » Sidi Bourhaba » Rabat

the next morning you will wake up early to have breakfast because we have many things to explore and we will drive to the king’s hunting forest that is located in the southeast of Rabat where we will spot Double-spurred spurfowl and if luck goes out with us we will see also the Black Crowned Tchagra.

Then we will move to another spot in the same place to see Greenfinch, Woodpigeon, Barbary Partridge, Serin, then Black-shouldered Kite, and Barbary Partridge.

After spotting these species we will drive into Sidi Bourhaba Lake to spot Marbled Duck, Red-knobbed Coots, and White-headed Duck. then our day will end so we have to return to Rabat to have dinner and spend the night in a local hotel.

Day 4 : Rabat » Merdja Zerga » Rabat

Today’s Morning our destination after breakfast is Merdja Zerga located near the coastal town of Moulay Bousselham where we will spot some Flamingoes, Ducks, Redshank, and Greenshank.

then we will move to The marsh where you will see the African Marsh Owl after spotting it our destination will be the beach where we will enjoy and spot Balearic Shearwater and some other species.

Now the end of the day you will go to the hotel for dinner and accommodation.

Day 5 : Rabat » Meknes » Ifran » Cedar Forest in Azrou » Middle Atlas Mountains » Zaida

After breakfast in Rabat and becoming ready we will leave this city and drive into Azrou in south-east Morocco passing by Meknes. We may find Maghreb Owl in Ifrane but it’s defficult and then we will drive into Azrou to spot Lesser Kestrel and our next destination will be the Middle Atlas where you will see Ruddy Shelduck and Levaillant’s Green Woodpecker.

After spotting these species our destination is the Cedar Forests to spot Great Spotted Woodpeckers, Firecrest, Atlas Flycatchers, Wood Lark, Barbary Apes, and Coal Tit.

Then we will go to a hotel or Riad in Zaida for dinner and spend the night there.

Day 6: Exploring birdlife in Zaida Plain

Day 6 is specified to spend the full day in Zaida Plain to spot one of the main species in our tour Dupont’s Lark and then we will search for Red-rumped Wheatear, Seebohm’s Wheatear, Desert Wheatear, Short-toed Lark, Spectacled Warbler, and Thekla Lark.

Then our day in Zaid will be ended so we will go back to the hotel/Riad for dinner and spend the night to be ready for the next day.

Day 7 : Zaida » Middle Atlas Mountains » Beni Mellal » Marrakech or Casablanca

Today After breakfast in Zaida we will transfer you to Marrakech or Casablanca due to your request. we will pass by the Middle Atlas Mountains as we will make many birding stops to take souvenir photos to give you the best bird-watching tour in Morocco.

After arriving in Casablanca or Marrakech we will take you to the hotel for dinner and accommodation. then our 7 days North Morocco Birding Tour will end.
